Almost all of the text on the CharityScorecard.org site is in the public domain (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_domain for more information).
While using the Charity Scorecard wiki, you agree to only add content to the site if the content was (a) copied from a work which is already in the public domain, (b) written by you on your own time (not as a work for hire) and placed in the public domain by you, or (c) written by you as a work for hire and placed in the public domain by the your employer. In some countries it may not be legally possible to place work in the public domain. As a fallback position, in the event that your contribution is judged not to be in the public domain, you grant anyone the right to use your contributed work for any purpose, without any conditions, unless such conditions are required by law.
You may wish to post content that is not in the public domain, but is available under a Creative Commons license, GNU Free Documentation License, or some other license that allows work to be re-used. You agree not to add this content to the site, but to instead contact the site administrator and ask them to add the content.
Although almost all of the text on the CharityScorecard.org site is in the public domain, some pages are marked as having content that is not in the public domain. When a page has content that is not the public domain, the page will include information about the license terms under which the content is available. For content that is not in the public domain, you agree not to:
- copy, reproduce, modify, create derivative works from, distribute, or publicly display the content except in accordance with the terms of the license under which the content is avialable.
